Question
As I’ve found, there is almost certainly no “real” reliable source of details (or at least not very reliable). I came here looking for a solution.
When I was building DxDiag, I got an error saying that I have a problem with DirectShow. I also asked if I prefer to skip DirectShow.

I have no idea what caused this problem
But even if you are a fairly advanced graphic designer (I suppose), you probably know that most DirectShow problems prevent all of us from playing a large amount of media.
I tried to reinstall Dx9, but as you know, it doesn’t work with the wonderful “uninstall” that I just couldn’t find. and I’m really not sure if reinstalling the DirectX handle will fix the DirectShow issue.
any help will increase. I really need it if you need to sort this out ASAP.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. Well done
I see that there is no “real” source of reliable (or at least not very reliable) information. We all came here for cash.
When I tried to start DxDiag, I got an error saying there was a problem accessing DirectShow. Previous misuse of DxDiag could be the cause of this. and they tell me if I want to skip DirectShow.
But since you are good advanced developers (I suppose), you probably already know that a problem with DirectShow prevents me from playing a large amount of media.
I tried to reinstall Dx9, but as you know, it doesn’t work through “uninstall”, which is simply not possible. and I’m not sure if reinstalling DirectX will fix the DirectShow problem.
Any help would be appreciated. I would like to clarify this as soon as possible.
The Answers
DirectShow is an API, so a DLL application that you can use
through advertisements, without usingDirectShow uses a COM interface, you run a separate dll and connect, if you want a
with a pointer that is on youthe only thing it usually does is run another “dll” called a filter.
These very small applications are * .ax instead of DLLs
If you can get graphedt.exe, someone can filter the names of most of the people on your system
These *. ax filters must be installed and saved in the order in which each movie is played on your PC
This usually happens automatically if you install the player
You open Graphedt (no exe, I’m editing 8 character names …)
Go to the Render Media File menu, open your Avi …
It should make sure to automatically show you which filter it uses to render your file
In the Add Filter menu you can access the filter saved on your PC p>
If you keep this * .ax (the codec filters the application too) you shouldn’t
move any other directory because it really can’t be loaded …So DO NOT move this file to your computer
if the SDK is installed by itself, don’t move it, don’t even change the name relative to the directory … because this will filter experience to call you and your * .ax file not showing
If you have most of the player binary in DirectShow SDK type from that player
>
actually plays more files than Windows Media … (buy a better codec for some reason)
Your solution might be to uninstall every Windows Media installation, maybe even
Install and reinstall the SDK and do not move or change directoryThis should replace filtering and registration and make them available
Remove the previous driver from your card and update to the latest version, and do the same with your sound card driver (don’t try this unless you are advanced, it might get worse …) < / p>
NewMai SDK and never works with old graphics card, I had ATI 9200 and nothing worked.
(your device’s card, not the driver …)Regarding DxDialg, the API test fails because the test has to invest in * .ax filters that are not
completely …DirectShow sound Custom filter will also should be installed, so if someone moves or renames the SDK installation … it won’t work …
You are the more open minded Graphedt. (there is no exe i in Edit to enter names with 8 characters …)
Go to the “Render This In Media” menu, open your Avi …
You will automatically see which air filter it uses to render the file
In the “Add filter” menu you can view the filter saved on your PC
DirectShow is essentially an API, it is a library application in a DLL that you can use
by calling a function, not an application
DirectShow uses a COM interface, you run the DLL and connect to it
with the hint presented to you
The only way to do this is to run another DLL called Filter
If you probably get graphedt.exe, you can see how the names of those on your own system are filtered
To play a movie on a PC, you need to install and register a custom filter * .ax
.
If families save * .ax (codec or filtering app) you shouldn’t move their arsenal
afterwards because they will fail when trying to load the SDK
If it’s settled in one place, never move it, don’t even change the directory name … as they will probably try to call each other and won’t find their * .ax file
If people have a binary for the player, SDK for DirectShow on the player
actually plays more files than Windows Media … (it finds a better codec for some reason)
Your method might be to uninstall Windows Media installation, possiblyoh, even install the SDK, and reinstall it, and under no circumstances move or change the directory
This should replace and make available filtering and saving people today
Uninstall and update your outdated driver for your card to the latest version, and do the same with your sound card driver (don’t try this unless you are an absolute expert, things can get worse …)
The new SDK may not work with the old video card, I had an ATI 9200, and nothing worked
, the driver is unlikely …)
As far as DxDialg is concerned, it is impossible to experiment as the API has to use the * .ax filter, the idea is not
in its place …
DirectShow also has its own filter that installs on its own, but if you rename Move or all SDK installations … they just don’t work …
