which contains the updated NDIS.VXD version 4.10.2000.

These instructions will allow you to quickly fix this problem by remembering to install your Windows 98 / Memphis system.

There are two methods to fix this error: fix it after you find it, think about it, or apply before installing.

Download the HotFix 312108USA8.EXE selected above.
Use WinZip, WinRAR, 7Zip, etc. to make sure the NDIS .VXD file is decompressed inside.
Place the extracted NDIS.VXD in the C: WINDOWS SYSTEM folder of your 98 / Memphis installation, perhaps overwriting the old NDIS.VXD, or renaming the old NDIS.VXD to something more, say NDIS. OLD.

Download and extract the latest version of NDIS.VXD as described above.
Place the generated NDIS.VXD file in your WIN98 installation directory using SETUP 98.EXE, WIN98_xx.CABs, etc.
Windows 98 / MemphisSETUP will automatically use the restructured file instead of extracting that particular old version of CAB files.

When installing Windows 95 or possibly Windows 98 on System A with a 2.2 GHz or faster processor, you simply receive the following error message:
