    1. First, type dxdiag in the search box and press Enter.

    2. Tap or just click dxdiag in the results.

    3. Check your DirectX version using the first description page in the System Information section.

    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the page, then click Search. Enter dxdiag in the search box. Or enter dxdiag from the beginning.

    2. In the results, tap or click attached to dxdiag.

    3. First, check the DirectX version on the report landing page in the “User System Information” section.

    • DirectX 11 is included with Windows and Server2008 R2. There is currently no separate update package for this release. You can update DirectX by installing and updating the service pack below.

    • DirectX 11.1 is available for optional Windows SP1 and Windows Server 2008 RS SP1 with Platform Update to Support Windows and Windows 7 Server 09 (KB2670838).

    Note. To further improve DirectX, you need to update your operating system.

    • DirectX 10 is included in Windows Vista. Is there a separate update package for this version? You can upgrade DirectX by installing the full service pack and upgrading less than those listed.

    DirectX 11.4 and 11.3 can only be supported on Windows 10. As with DirectX 12.0, updates are mostly delivered through Windows Update. DirectX 10 is supported on Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista. DirectX 9 is supported on Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows Five, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
