1. From the beginning, type dxdiag in the search box and press Enter.

2. In the results, tap orClick dxdiag.

3. Check the DirectX version on the first page of the report in the System Information section.

   Swipe in from the edge of the OK screen and tap Search. Enter dxdiag in the analysis field. Or just click dxdiag Start from.

• DirectX 11.2 is built into Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, not to mention Windows Server 2012 R2. There is no separate update package for DirectX 11.2. You can only install this DirectX account through Windows Update on Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2.

Note. To continue updating DirectX, you need to update the activation system.

• DirectX 11.0 is considered to be included in Windows 7 and Server R2. There is practically no separate update package for this version. You can upgrade DirectX by installing the service pack and charging the upgrade fee below.

• DirectX 11.1 may be available for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 RS Service Pack 1 (SP1) in a platform update for Windows 7, as well as for Windows Server 2008 (KB2670838).
