- I
have an HTC Droid Incredible.
Last night 10/24/2014 we were all walking around with my phone in hubby and my bag and out of nowhere the site said “DROID!” as if it had restarted by itself before. Since then, it had to be constantly restarted until the moment when “DROID!” the eyeball also appears, and only two points freeze on the correct dosage of the eyeball. He sits there for a while, then the thought starts again. The only way to stop this is to remove someone’s battery, but turning it back on (immediately or after a few hours) causes it to freeze on each of our cycles.
I haven’t done anything to the phone since I got it a long time ago and all updates are exactly what HTC/Verizon sent over the airwaves I would say. No rooting or anything, just standard automatic updates. p>
Based on some web searches, it seems like an actual factory reset is the perfect way to fix this, and experts say that would be fine… Except twow, the phone’s memory might have images that I really want to access, if possible. since factory reset will delete everything.
So:
1. Can this issue be resolved without restarting the enterprise?
2. If not…is there a way to fully boot the phone once so I can get those images back before doing a factory reset?
3. If not… is there another way to find disabled images before/after factory reset? This is what is written on the HBOOT projection screen:
*** LOCKED ***
INCREDIBLE BOAT S-ON XC
HBOOT-1.07.0000
MICROP-0417
TOUCH SCREEN-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-2.15.10.12.20

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into recovery mode and clear the cache partition, which failslit personal data. Follow the steps in this video, but choose “Clear cache partition” instead of “Clear data/factory reset”. When finished, select Reboot System Now.

Thanks for your reply! Okay, I cleared the recovery gallery cache and read:
– Clear cache…
/Cache is being formatted…
Cache cleaning completed.Then selected
“Reboot system now”… and went into “DROID!” and the eye itself, and the red dots for the right side of the eye itself froze, then after a while restarted
I don’t know if it matters, but when the phone fully boots up, first a bright screen with black text “HTC Incredible” appears, then a red screen with a green HTC logo and black text “incredible”. brilliant”. But after every second loop after appearing in the reboot loop, it goes from a frozen eyeball straight to a white screen with a green logo HTC type and “incredible black gloss”.
Does the fact that clearing the cache didn’t work say anything, or even indicate the extent of the problem? Is there a next step now?
Thanks again

SD card is inserted and/or possibly removed, the same happens.
I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’ll eventually have to do a factory reset. This branch gives hope for the image of the partition after the reset. Pickup:

This theme is 3 years old but still worth a try.If indeed it’s time to do a factory reset, is there anything other than selecting recovery mode “wipe data/fastory settings”?
Lesson learned: Transfer important data to SD card.

Wipe Data/Factory Reset is the way to do it in the recovery menu. Assuming the person has successfully reset the phone and is starting to set it up again, try to never let the device automatically reinstall your previous apps in case you caused this problem. I don’t know if you have the ability to restore your company’s previous apps. If not, after the installation wizard completes, immediately go to the Play Store, select “My Apps” and more. Stop any ads or downloads that may be running.
