How To Fix The Object Opening Error

Over the past few days, some of our users have reported an error opening an item.
Check the details of the error message at the data source.View Barracuda backup reports.Check the bbtrace backup agent. txt log file.Check the server application and system event logs.Additional resources.
If the message “Record Object Error” appears in the Barracuda Backup Report, do the following: remove the warning:
- Make sure your antivirus software hasn’t quarantined your favorite files; Quarantined files are locked and cannot be backed up. Remove information and facts from the anti-virus software quarantine.
- If you can’tTo find files in quarantine, check if the file exists. If an archive is present, make sure no other backup agent is running as the backup process for the Barracuda Backup devices at the times above.
- Check the Safeguard agent logs. Open the bbtrace.txt file, usually located at C: Program Files Barracuda Barracuda Backup Agent log, look for errors in the file and refer to the time stamp in the windowed application and system event logs.
If the warning persists, contact Barracuda Technical Support.

Troubleshooting: If the folder or file selected for backup can be removed from the parent directory, the entire Barracuda Backup Appliance will fail. To fix this, loginGo to the web path and no doubt deactivate the folder that was deleted in the original directory. To do this, follow these steps.
- Log into Barracuda Backup and go to the BACKUP> Schedules page.

We are using one Barracuda Backup Appliance 895a to back up files in an esxi 6 environment that has been completely refurbished and updated. We have quite a few virtual machines that we cannot duplicate. Of the 20 virtual machines that we usually back up, 4 generate one “Object read error” error. All VMSs have the same privileges, and every time we run the internal connection and credentials tests on the Barracuda, all the tests pass. Then we contacted Barracuda support and almost said, “Our system is working, so you.” I am still holding back VMware support to accommodate a support request, but found I could give it a try. I looked for a solution based on Barracuda detection (which their support staff talked about), but nothing else definitely solved the problem. The solution that usually didn’t work is below. Does anyone know why we have the ability to back up all our virtualmachines in addition to a few? (which by the way can be well protected by our old UnitTrends device)
