  • when converting the system or If If you have moved CPU or hardware visitors from your HP PC to a new chassis, you may get a wonderful “F2 fan error” during startup. Fortunately, there is a final solution.

After updating my computer before the new case, I got a new error when starting / restarting:

Error: System fan failed! PC service to reduce system damage. Press F2 to continue.

error system fan has failed service pc

The case I have chosen has two standard fans on some and on the back. I got a contract with a cooler and a cpu fan via some Cooler Master Hyper Heatsink / fan combination. The system originally shipped with a 3-pin processor fan plugged into a header on the motherboard labeled “SYS_FAN1,” but the new processor label shipped with the larger heatsink has a 4-pin header. slots marked with “CPU_FAN”. What can I tell the devices in the SYS_FAN1 slot about the fan speed so that it keeps asking me and my friends about the system fan because nothing is plugged into that 3-pin slot.

Before proceeding, please note that if you have not changedand any parts, if you haven’t changed any parts, the brand fans are really working and you suddenly get this message: “You need to replace the fan.” Therefore, check your motherboard fan configuration to identify the problem. If you have also replaced the fan, you can still connect an old fan or a new fan and / or the same size and speed to a specific location on SYSFAN. If none of the ideas work, or you just don’t want to pursue this post, read on.

Almost all forums or websites for troubleshooting computers tell you to go into BIOS, use Hardware Monitor, and disable unique features that are causing you problems. The problem is that this option is hidden on most HP laptops. After a lot of searching and searching for equivalent instructions for several weeks, I finally found the correct answer. Rewrote it to make it easier to understand.

This can be done in two ways, depending on what you are sending for system recovery.

    • If F10 is a modification of your system, restart the system and media feeds press F11 when the HP mini water screen appears. The F2 error will probably always pop up, so force yourself to hold F11 a few times until it expands and starts loading this list of hardware components.
    • If F11 covers the entire system recovery, press Ctrl + F10. If for some reason this happened, I would say the F2 error again, press Ctrl + F10 again or press F2 and then switch back to Ctrl + F10 as soon as you get back from the error screen.

Note. One commenter noted that he needs to use both Ctrl keys at the same time while pressing F10 to go directly to the advanced BIOS settings page. Don’t do this work.

If that worked, you will see the Best Hardware Monitor option under the Advanced tab. I needed images from the BIOS of my system to better illustrate the process, only on your system the tabs may usually be in a different order.

Before you can do anything Here, make sure you disable the problem setting as efficiently as possible. So if the exact error is “System Fan Failed!” remove ONLY the system fan check, DO NOT DISCONNECT BOTH.

After clicking this option, “Save and Exit” appears at the bottom of the projector screen.

This often comes from Tom’s hardware thread. F11 works for some users and Ctrl + F10 for others, so it’s important to know ahead of time which key your computer will send for System Restore.

This is done on your old HP Pavilion Media Center m7680n TV with a P5BW-LA (Basswood) motherboard. I am pleased to announce that I was finally able to process the Message forever.

I want to thank those who left a comment and confirmed by pressing Ctrl + 10. If someone came up with another strategy for this, please leave a correct comment. Also, if possible, add the HP desktop series and motherboard name, whether you know them or not.

Move your computer.Stop overclocking.Clean the ventilation slots.Clean fan processor.Check your processor fan.Check where the processor fan is.Try using the appropriate alternate CPU fan connector.Check the CPU fan settings in BIOS.

OTHERWISE. The message “Fan System Error” appears on the screen. It means. The old AC adapter was faulty before it completely stopped working and the processor fan was not receiving enough power and spinning slowly, which is why the computer reported a film fan system failure.

To enter the BIOS menu, press the F1 key until the Lenovo logo appears clearly on the LCD screen when the computer is turned on.To reset the BIOS to default settings, press the F9 key and select YES.
