Tips For Troubleshooting Windows Updates Using The Command Line

Don’t click on “be”. Right click and select “Run as administrator”. Enter “wuauclt.exe / updatenow” (but do not enter it yet) – this can be described as a command that will make Windows Update check for updates.
On Microsoft Windows 10, you can easily find Windows Update under Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update . Windows Update usually continues to run in the background and automatically installs innovative updates.

I thought the easiest way to force a Windows update check is to use a command in the Run dialog box. There are other commands that result from the And cmd PowerShell, unfortunately we’ll start with the easiest.
Open Run Chat (Windows Key + R) or read Windows Search and do the followingcommand:

Provide Updates From Remote Computers

Install Only One-time Updates

How To Force Windows Update To Download Updates Already Purchased
If you would like to click Windows Update to re-download all of our own updates, you can do so by following these steps. There will likely be times when updates get corrupted or your company just doesn’t want to install downloaded updates for other reasons. In this situation, you can easily uninstall any updates already received, which will cause Windows Update to restart, check for updates, and download them again.
The most important limitation in this situation is that the update should not beinstalled on your computer. If an update is likely already installed, Windows will recognize it as installed and will probably not download it again. In this case, you need to uninstall the update first and then click Windows Update to run it again.
