Lotus Notes, Oplocks and Unexpected Network Error

We’ll start using Lotus Notes with e-mail files related to home directories mapped to all Samba servers. (RH6.2, 2.0.7). I have personally seen a listing of NT
TSE specific information with the same Oplock cracking failure issue. I noticed that when I restart the main samba server, every Notes client definitely has this “unexpected error” network issue, so you need to log out and fire some firewood. Kill reboot and my client didn’t fix it. I don’t do it anymore 🙂 Now it’s rather sporadic, but still a little annoying.

False” so as not to impact performance for anything else. on server?

Notes seems to be somewhat “allergic” when reconnecting to a network share if there is data associated with that share. I’m not just thinking about * .nsf files. With the old alternatives, this isreconnection occurred after a serious Oplock jailbreak error, the new Samba
activates the NT copier behavior: keep ignoring.

If you are using the NT Terminal Server version, make sure that usually each user has their own daemon (no user uses the same daemon). Maybe that’s why restarting the Notes client is really helpful. In our case, we used the following to find the remaining “unexpected connection errors”
