I have OSX 10.5 and I tried to install sudo prt gnuplot only to get:

---> computational dependencies for gnuplot---> Check checksums for gnuplotError: checksum (md5) does not match gnuplot.pdfError: checksum (sha1) does not match gnuplot.pdfError: checksum (rmd160) regarding gnuplot.pdf mismatch

I don’t care about the gnuplot.pdf checksum mismatch, this is not a required part of the executables … how can I get around this? I cannot or cannot try to download the uninstall again.

    macports checksum failed

I am trying to upgrade to MacPorts 2.3.5 on a running powermac OS X 10.5 system. The update was rejected with the following error:

    Error

: org.macports.checksum returned for Harbor py27-setuptools: Unable to verify log checksums.

I tried to install it myself but got a general error. Manual installation was done via MacPorts Issue 43307:

I can’t put Python 2 aside. Because it removes 7 SSH and some other programs important to me. Removing SSH means I am removing access to the box. I never know where the SSH / Python dependency came from. I built OpenSSH from links and in real life the dependencies are no different.
