Troubleshooting Tips For Netbackup 6 Error 48

If you’re getting error 48 Netbackup 6, it’s helpful to read these troubleshooting tips. g.State 48 is simply due to an error while looking up hostnames. The challenge is to find out which hostname was not fixed and which hosting company had the problem. A restore request is initiated by an administrative host that has multiple network interfaces connected to multiple NetBackup domains.

We are always trying to recover the tape movement in an autonomous network connected to network 2. We use 1 server as master and media (master1 and therefore mediaset2), we added its – hostsfile already besides servers besides all clients (already added netdb1 and netap1v time for hostfile).
We were able to restore the directory, but when restoring versions or the entire SQL database, we were unable to determine the hostname, or the system call failed and the requested file could not be restored.

Does anyone restore from ClientA to ClientB? In this case, you need to provide a script to move the database, see NetBackup for SQL Server, Recovering a Cardiovascular Client.
