How To Manage Notes Error Margin Too Large Signature

This guide will describe several possible reasons why the error field might be too large to trigger a signature, and then suggest possible solutions that you can try to resolve.

When I try to set up my signature in IBM Notes 9 on Mac (More> Preferences> Mail> Signature), I get the following error message:

  Notes error: field is too large (32KB) or the column and selection formulas in the view are really large 

I tried to leave all three text tag fields (formatted plain text, HTML code file) blank, but I still get errors.

Do I need to specify a different location so as not to be careful? I haven’t seen any other fields in any of the brackets in the preferences dialog for a while.

If I associate a signature and ignore these errors, I will continue to work with Notes until the signature is saved.

Nobody at Google gets to this point because they mention an error message when setting up a bank or when running on a Mac. I just migrated from Notes 9 to Windows Notes 9 on Mac.
