Your Windows folder is usually filled with folders with names such as $ NtUninstallKBxxxxxx or $ NtServicePackUninstall, which appear in dark blue. Perform a random scan of your hard drive and you will see that these folders are taking up a particularly large amount of space. How can you delete them and use that space on the DVD?

    Reason

When you run a Windows update or even install a Windows XP service pack, the system files are overwritten with the new versions. To make it easier to uninstall or update (in case it is believed to be causing any problems), Windows should keep copies of all files that were replaced during the update. These files are saved in each of our blue $ NtUninstall … folders in specific Windows folders.

Links to these $ NtUninstall folders, which are usually placed in the registry entries to run each update, so Windows knows where to find the uninstaller for each update. Simple deletion of all entries will invalidate these prices in the registry. Otherwise, Windows updates are never uninstalled. If update nmust be removed, the need for this notification usually arises very quickly. Thus, there is absolutely no risk when deleting folders for deletion, since the updates are more than a few weeks old. But have any ideas on how to remove them neatly?

    Solution

You may have the option to manually delete folders and their associated registry entries, or you can use an appropriate uninstall utility. Manually, the method is often tedious, but it is described so that we understand the purpose of automated use.

Note that after deleting the current $ NtUninstall backup folders, there is no method available to uninstall this version of Windows. Therefore, it is a good idea to delete uninstall folders directly related to updates that have been around for a long time, if you are sure they will definitely not cause any problems. Remove

When users browsed the Windows website on their Windows XP computers through hidden operating system files, clients might notice several or even more entries starting with the $ NtUninstall line. Perhaps the person is wondering if these files need to be backed up. These $ NtUninstalls are created when you restore a new service pack with a patch from Microsoft. Most of the files have KBxxxxxx linking to the corresponding master knowledge base article that your current links are updating.

The only negative effect of deleting folders in your own Windows directory is that you can no longer uninstall these Microsoft updates. While most users can undoubtedly uninstall these versions of $ NtUninstall, some may want to create a backup before deleting files from the Windows directory.

Instead of just deleting folders, you can simply back them up to CD or DVD before doing so. This will ensure that you have access to backups when needed, for example if you need to uninstall an update or schedule because they do not work as expected on your system.

My general recommendation is not to delete $ ntuninstall files that are less than two to three months old. Simply deleting old files will still free upa lot of space on your system, while at the same time you have the added benefit of using your system for months without months of problems. Fast
