All my registered Symbian signed certificates that I have used and installed in the past now seem to be corrupted, I cannot take advantage of this to get the only algirthim error. PapaDoc was enough to send me one so I could easily sign it. I have an old certificate on my computer from my old N95 diff imei personal # someone signed up for me before I had an account with Symbianigned as this allows me to sign the imei # as my new N958gb without any problem. I am using And sissigner designed for Signsis v0.7 in conjunction with Symiban certificate development software. This car work drives me crazy, I nI never thought about keeping the certificate on laptops, as they are combined with a symbiotic line. Does anyone have any idea if they really would like to be able to sign a lot of symbiotic apps that internet apps don’t have?

I found a solution, but you buy it to host your OPDA Imei online forum and its instructions are not in English, here is the link. Many people say that this is how the problem works ???

Because when installing unsigned Symbian applications, the idea gives an error y.

“Unable to install nice application protected from secret provider”

The self-signed project package uses the package UID outside the protected area (<0x80000000).
The self-signed installer package contains an EXE file that allows the SID of the protected zone (0x80000000 <) to be used.
Self-signed installation contains EXE / DLL package with non-zero VID (VendorID).

Can’t know about OPDA, but it looks like it’s a Chinese site that offers some sort of IMEI link with developer certifications.

Self-signed means that you easily generated the key and certificate yourself, but the certificate is not signed by any certification authority. Thus, the security of the underlying Symbian OS platform does not allow the installation package to perform “dangerous” actions, for example, you can only issue a certain number of Platsec capabilities, and there is this UID / .SID / VID restriction. On the other hand, each developer certificate validates the root for CA compliance and can be purchased to sign packages with much richer capabilities and no UID / SID / VID restrictions.
