I just completed an automatic update. Part of the price was a fresh start for SSL and now I can no longer log into my MSN account at Pidgeon. I get the error “The certificate could not be verified, the certificate for Omega.contacts.msn.com could not be verified.” The existing chain certificate is not valid. For “

Go to Tools pidgins-> Certificates to remove the classic certificate. Do not close the window at this point. (You can, but it is much more convenient not to)

Select https://omega.contacts.msn.com in your browser. There are customers for whom “Entry to the catalog is denied”

If you click on the lock in the lower right corner in Firefox, you will see a dialog box where you can click on the “View Certificate” topic. Since these are details, you can export the certificate to create the file.

Now back to the Pidgin Tools-> Certificates dialog, you can add this type of certificate

    1. Close Pidgin
    2. Find the best certificates (Windows:% appdata% . Purple folder) (Linux: /home/.purple)
    3. Delete everything that is in the server from the folder.Ficate.
    4. Perhaps restart Pidgin and you will get a new working certificate.

P.S.: Windows users who don’t know% app-data% just type% appdata% . purple in the preview pane and press Enter.

The first thing to do is to revoke your health insurance certificate. This can be done through Tools-> Certificates.

After that you can try to reconnect and it will get a valid certificate and you are done.

If you don’t, you can do the following on an instance on Linux:

Echo END | s_client openssl – connect omega? .against? so you? .msn? .com: 443 Openssl | x509> omega? .against? so you? .msn? .com
