Troubleshooting Tips For SQL Server Query Service Pack Issues
January 22, 2022Over the past few days, some of our users have encountered an error code when requesting a SQL Server service pack. There are a number of factors that can cause this problem. We’ll cover them below.

This article lists the different versions or views available for different styles of SQL Server and shows the procedures for determining which SQL Server variant is available on a particular system.
The first is to use the functionality of SQL Server Management Studio, right-click the name of the current instance, and select Properties. In the general section, you will see information such as screenshots right after. “Product version”, optionally “version”, gives you the number of some installed versions.

Open SQL Server Management Studio > Connect to SQL Server. Right click Server Name > Properties. In the General section, check the version field number.

Method 1: Connect to the server using Object Explorer in SQL Server Management Studio. After logging into Object Explorer, you will most likely see the version information in parentheses, as well as the username that is typically used to log into a specific instance of SQL Server.
