Great plugin – despite bad GUI – I was put off at first by some ugliness of this plugin. but I immediately tried every other streaming plugin I could find (Jetcast, Shoutcast, in combination with SAM Streaming Encoders v3). I tried and bought this plugin, it’s the best for the money. (it’s free) I use it to stream my recording collection from my dorm computer to my pocket computerp (www.pocketmind.com/pocketmusic.htm) while I’m walking around college. (I use the Snowcrash plugin to change songs. I can’t find this winamp on the site anymore.) Oddcast still works fine. Note that you will also need Icecast V2 (icecast.org) which will then be able to run the massive back end of the setup again on the same laptop.Jetcast worked fine, but if for some reason it stopped streaming when I was out of the house (very annoying!), it also couldn’t disappear, so you can most likely see the system status like Oddcast. Then I tried Shoutcast but it sounded bad because it basically supports regular mp3 and not ogg like mp3PRO. And finally, SAM spends too much money. – October 19, 2004 by Joe Camel
