2. Unfortunately, a certain set of Trend Micro diagnostics almost always does not work. So our next type of action is a little more technical, but it almost always works. What we’re going to do is register Trend Micro to forcefully remove it. Here’s how to do it:
   1. Click Start, then Run, but type regedit and press Enter.
   2. Then read the following path in our registry:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Wow6432Node TrendMicro PC-cillinNTCorp CurrentVersion Misc
   3. Double-click the “Allow Deletion” entry in the right numeric field and set it to 1.
   4. You should now be able to uninstall Trend Micro using your normal uninstaller under Install Add and Remove Programs ”of the control panel.

Note. If you still cannot change this registry entry (even if you have administrator rights), reboot directly into Safe Mode and try again. This is because Trend Micro starts up from time to time, and this process also depends on what’s stopping you from improving your registry settings. Restarting in safe mode will fix the problem.

Users reported that a password may be required when uninstalling a trial version of Trend Micros Client / Server Security Agent on a Dell system and during uninstallation. If the password is present, the PC cannot be activated or uninstalled under any circumstances. The following are various fixes that Trend Micro made directly to uninstall the current version of Trail.

1. Close all engineering applications to targetm computer.
2. Open a command phrase window.
3. For 32-bit operating systems, navigate to the C: Program Files folder in the Files Trend Micro Client Server Security Agent directory. For 64-bit operating systems: in the C: Program Files (x86) Trend Micro Client Server Security Agent directory.
4. Enter the following command: ntrmv -980223

1. Open Registry Editor. Note that you should always do some kind of backup before modifying the registry, as incorrect registry changes can actually cause problems.
2. Do one of the following:
   1. For a very 32-bit operating system, you should go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE TrendMicro PC-cillinNTCorp CurrentVersion Misc.
   2. For 64-bit management, go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Wow6432Node TrendMicro PC-cillinNTCorp CurrentVersion Misc registry hive.
3. Search the computer registry for the “Allow Delete” DWORD.
   1. If so, edit any DWORD andchange the value to include 0 to 1.
   2. If not, create a chain as follows.
      1. Right-click the Miscellaneous folder, but choose New> DWORD Value.
      2. Create a fully qualified registry name “Allow Deletion”.
      3. Double click on the new entry and change the value from 0 to 1.
4. Click OK.
5. Now you can uninstall the program without asking for a password.
