I’m having trouble starting a Java program that most of the time uses PrintWriter
and calls each of our PrintWriter.format ()
methods. It works fine in Eclipse, but when I exit the purchase line I get this:
/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_06/jre/lib/rt.jar: error while digesting zip fileException in "main" thread java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: java / util / Formatter
Does this mean Java cannot read .jar
from its own repository? Does anyone know a solution for this?
Edit: It also works fine when I boot from the command line on a Linux machine. Not only on Windows (via PuTTY if available).

I just came to Kubuntu and I have to say on the positive that I really appreciate the ridiculous simplicity of the job. I would say almost awesome than Windows.
I’m having a problem, but the .jar files suddenly won’t start. I have Java 8 and JDK. I played Minecraft (Jar Start of course) for about 5 years last night. I left the computer on all night, and when I woke up again, the JAR files could be opened for a second and then closed immediately. The only thing I did between playing Minecraft and trying to restart it was installing WINE, but I don’t understand howcould affect something specific.
When you click on the jar, note that this is the default JDK. Instead, I just tried to open the Java 8 Runtime, but I got the same result. I tried too hard to right click properties >> other and / usr / bin / java -jar in the input field and run it in a way that honestly only causes java to crash.
Searching for Java processes is displayed in my Template Manager at startup
I also suggest going to terminal in a directory and running it there, it gives me your current error below:

I’ve been working on Linux for 2 days now (Windows was corrupted and I didn’t have a hard drive, but I had Kubuntu via a USB stick) and I don’t know how.

3) The windows are red. The container is always located at $ JAVA_HOME / jre / lib, where $ JAVA_HOME refers to where the JDK is installed. Even if you don’t install the JDK, but just install the JRE, you will see it in the same place, you will not find rt. jar in the $ JAVA_HOME / lib directory.
