Two problems:
a) When booting from a recent 80GB IDE hard drive (Windows XP, worked fine for 2 or maybe the same years) reports that System32 / Drivers / ntfs.sys was not found and not found.freezes.
b) I received a new 300GB SATA drive, completely removed the old one and tried to install Windows on a new hard drive, but crashed during boot and installation, it says “Failed to populate the Setupdd.sys file” error, the code is 7. “

History:
I built a computer in spring 2003, specifically Windows XP SP2, and until recently everything was fantastic.
A while ago, when I was doing CPU intensive tasks, I started to emit alternating high low beeps indicating CPU overheating. About two weeks ago I took apart the processor and added more thermal paste. When I put everything in place, my computer was unable to enter BIOS; I often get repeated beeps when publishing (memory error). So I thought that by putting the processor and heatsink back in place, I must have damaged the simple memory module. So I am sending it back to the Corsair for exchange. In the meantime, I bought some identical Corsair memory module (VS512MB400C3) from my local store and installed it there.
Now, after installing the RAM that I bought from the store, I was able to make statements, enter BIOS, etc. But to When I tried to start Windows, everything crashed (System32 / drivers / NTFS.sys missing). I was messing around on the net telling others to use the Windows installation CD for repairs. I do this, but Windows Custom Config usually fails when loading the debugger kernel: “The Setupdd.sys file could not be loaded. However, if I press F6 to install the drivers as instructed during installation, nothing happens and the installation continues unless it naturally fails with the same setting (“Setupdd.sys file could not be filled. Error (, code 7 “.”). At the moment I do not have the entire old 80G hard drive , so I’m basically updating a new installation system, namely Windows, to a new hard drive.

I am tempted to read about this, usually the people who get the first task (booting from hard drive, drivers omitted) solve it by fixing Windows while they have the installation disc. I cannot do this because the installation hangs on setupdd.sys.
