SOLUTION:
This particular solution is a single RCA dvr but mostly other vendors and / or models are trying.

(1) Activate / Activate Parental Controls – Point the RCA remote at your VCR, tap and grab the VCR (or VCR-AUX, or even now ON / OFF as newer models offer both).
