In most cases, BIOS kernels were created by a program called American Megatrends Inc. Or (other) in many cases Phoenix Technologies. So it’s incredibly easy to figure out which BIOS update utility you need to flash your BIOS. There are also non-commercial tools such as UniFlash and Flashrom suitable for all brands of BIOS.

Note. This page does not cover EFI/UEFI, all tools and options refer to classic BIOS.

Prerequisites And Even Precautions

Make sure you have the correct BIOS update/image for the new motherboard.
Your system components should never be overclocked
Your system must be really stable
If you are flashing on Windows, close all applications

Help with flashing in DOS is highly recommended, as flashing the main BIOS in Windows is quite risky.

How To Kill Motherboard Bios

Simply download the best zipped bios file, unzip it, rename it to something simple like bios.bin Phoenix(reward, -reward) with bios.(AMI, rom Phoenix) and use the recommended flash tool given below.

After a successful BIOS update, turn off the computer, unplug the power cord (or turn off the power), and then perform a clear CMOS operation. Plug it back in, turn on the PC, enter the BIOS settings (usually via “del” “F2”), select “Load Optimized Defaults” (or similar) and save/exit this setting.
