When I saw the listed solution and this awful Winetricks website, I persisted and managed to install Winetricks. It seems, as it were, something like. I found a “n00b-friendly” tutorial for using Winetricks on Mac here:

Even if the code didn’t work for me:
wget at http://winetricks.org/winetricks
I did some additional research and the previous one worked:
curl http://winetricks.org/winetricks> winetricks
So I finally posted Winetricks and all I had to do was run this command from the terminal, right?
sh winetricks directx9
(I’m not entirely sure what it was for, but I suspect it is necessarygo?)
And then this:
sh winetricks vcrun6sp6
(It all looked like magic code that is listed on every snowboard and every website I found)
Wrong. After trying both codes, the following error appears in the terminal:

Wine server probably not found!

I did more research and tried different methods, but eventually gave up. Now I am stuck in a loop and although the “so called” method was solved, pretty much everything I tried worked.
I found the Wineserver and Winetricks file, but this particular Wineserver was an alias. When I double-click on it, my Mac tells our family the following:
The process could not be completed because the article about “Wine Server” could not be found.
What should I keep in mind that I have somehow set up a new nice alias with Wineserver without the original gadget available …?
It would be great if I could get fresh, precise instructions on how to fix this “Winserver not found” obstacle. If you have any other questions regarding me, just leave them in the comments, and I will try to answer them. Remember, I am not 100% familiar with codes.
Additional information:
I am using OSX Mac 10.8.5 to use Winery Wineskin 1.7, I would say the one with the latest package (1.7.10)
I am actively trying to install a Nexus refx, on the other hand, a VST plugin for FL Studio 11 (which I installed with Wine for sure). p>
On macOS, most winehq packages are not added to PATH. You must either start with the “Wine Devel” batch application or follow these instructions.
The best place to install winetricks is also / usr / local / bin or make it executable, this is now done in PATH, but I would refer to winetricks to install it
Both will install the latest version of winetricks, but also install the dependencies that winetricks will use, such as cabextract
