Select Authenticate with the drop-down pointer and delete the highlighted text.
How to keep the Hotmail options menu: When Outlook was updated, the list of options was moved from its usual location. Users should now click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and select “More messaging options”. This one offers an overly exhaustive list of additional options to improve your account.
In the Login Username text box, enter this full email address. For example, enter [email protected] for an Outlook email script, or [email protected] for Hotmail.
In the Outgoing Server Information section, navigate to the Exact Server Address text and enter smtp-mail.outlook.com. In the Port Text Container section, enter 587.
Select the checkboxes Require secure andtrusted connection (SSL) and Require authentication.
Select Next.
