If you delete Yum Xen kernel error code on your PC, you should check out these recovery methods. Automatically remove old unused kernels With the package-cleanup it to command, which is part of the yum-utils package, we can automatically remove any number of old kernels. For example, with –oldkernels –count = 2 is a sufficient reason for the package-cleanup command.

How To Safely Remove The Xen Core

Automatically remove old, unused kernels By cleaning a package, you retain control over the contents of the yum-utils package. We can automatically remove any number of old kernels. As a fantastic example, with the –oldkernels –count = 2 option with the package-cleanup command, this command will remove any unused kernels while keeping the last three kernels.

    yum remove xen kernel

I am currently using your current Xen kernel (64-bit), but I will need to upgrade my Xen kernel to a very low level (64-bit) while keeping a few other carefully designed systems. I’ve tried this once before, turned off “virtualization” and removed it like a Xen kernel, leaving almost nothing on boot.

It’s not very pretty. If you can reproduce the problem, invest in a bug report, but last time I installed almost any system with virtualization enabled (it was today so far so our own chances of doing that. Memories are relatively good ;-)) I had and some xen, and standard kernels.

Gerald is great – a reboot controlled standard kernel installation allows you to really uninstall any Xen kernel you want, although leaving it shouldn’t hurt – especially carefully uninstalling when not in use.

Another kernel note may be that you need to look in the file [b] / etc / sysconfig / kernel [/ b] and make sure you have [b] DEFAULTKERNEL = kernel [/ b] there. If your initial installation was done with the virtualization of choice, your current approach is probably installedon = kernel-xen.

Everything is very successful – thank you. As expected, each “standard” kernel was installed so intelligently (I don’t know what happened before – unfortunately I don’t have a system on which I could try it out, too).

I restarted the normal kernel by selecting shoes or boot times on it, and also changed the default / etc / sysconfig / kernel as shown.

Now that you are using the standard kernel, you can quickly check that all [i] xen [/ i] have been removed –

I have a Xen Format (XVA) virtual appliance that I want to quickly access on another hypervisor (MS Hyper-V). What I have done so far:

I converted XVA to OVF usingThis xenconvert resulted in the creation of a new vhd file.I made a new one and vm attached vhd to help it. VM

Boot error, I take into account that this is due to the fact that a specific kernel xen-dom0 is running on it. This is usually an error:

I think I need to upgrade the Xen kernel to an earlier Xen kernel. Can I just boot the precompiled kernel (where?), Boot from the Live CD, put it on a CD or DVD, and edit grub.conf?

  • When I tried to cure Doug O’Neill, I had to go to level 2 and ride VolGroup00. Then I installed the kernel using Yum and copied it to my boot partition. I changed grub.conf and tried to start. The system weighs in after loading the kernel. Offers ?

Grub has been modified to support the use of tty0 as a game console (formerly xvc0), which is now a little more complete, will fix this first.EDIT3:

I have changed the structure of several links to Ad xen and @ Nils’ answer. We still need to replace the kernel, and I understand that this is my problem right now:When I run kernel yum install, the following is displayed Error:

Error sharing / sys / block: no such file or directory/ Sys / block error entry: such file or directory is not possibleWARNING: module xenblk not found for 1 kernel.6.18-348.18.1.el5

    I found a dedicated CentOS bug tracker by mistake: http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=2083as shown there i tried:mkinitrd -v –with = xenblk –omit-scsi-modules –omit-raid-modules /boot/initrd-2.6.18-348.18.1.el5.img 2.6.18-348.18.1.el5, but he stops with:

There is probably an option to downgrade Yum 3.2.22 included with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4. This will downgrade or remove the package to a previous high-performance version, or you can often specify the full version and version number to invoke an earlier version of the package. As an argument: [root @ host ~] # yum downgrade vsftpd-2.0.5-12.el5
