Recently, some of our readers encountered a known error while resetting Internet Options in the Control Panel. This issue occurs due to several factors. Let’s discuss this now. Open Windows Control Panel from the Start Menu. In the Internet Properties window, click the Advanced tab at the top. Then, in the “Reset Internet Explorer Settings” section, click the reset user button.

4 beeps indicate a memory read/write error. Try reseating the memory module by removing it and reinserting it in the slot.

If the hardware components are working properly, your computer or laptop may emit a single beep and your Windows system should continue to boot. In addition, when hardware features (video card, RAM, CPU, motherboardboard, CMOS, etc.) are not working properly, your main computer generates beeps that you can hear.

Lights 4 and 3 indicate memory problems. You really need to see if you can make out the beep sequence. People can then go HERE and see if they match each entry. At the moment, there is a good feeling that the beep is keeping the light on, but indicates memory problems.

So there are two things: clearing CMOS and checking memory area

Close all windows and empty programs.Open Internet Explorer, select Tools> Internet Options.Select the Advanced tab.In the “Reset Internet Explorer Settings” chat window, select “Reset”.In the section Are you sure that Want to change all of your Internet Explorer settings? Select the Reset option.

Disable all system memory to test. Then start by placing flash drive 1 in slot 1 closest to the processor. Check if the computer system boots. Then remove the pin and replace it with an adjacent one and repeat. Do all of this when considering sticks.

Move, approach 1 Go back to Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs, Turn Windows features on or off, and check the packaging for Internet Explorer. Click OK and Internet Explorer will be reinstalled.

To reset the CMOS system go HERE and follow the instructions. Please note that this reset will reset your BIOS to its default conditions, and so if you have made any tweaks, they will be reset to the default settings.

Go to Control Panel, enter a destination setting in the search box at the top right, then click Internet Options in those items.

No doubt, click the “Tools” button in the upper right corner of your browser and finally select “Internet Options”. The Internet Options dialog box appears. Select each “Programs” tab. Find and select Make Internet Explorer your default browser, and then click OK.

  • I have a Dell XPS 800 with 3GB RAM (1GB x2 plus 512MB x2). In the morning I turned on the computer and diagnostic lights 3 and 4 came on. The sensor does not show the input. Dell’s docs say “memory modules detected indicating that a memory error has occurred.” Suggested as I went through the module removal process one by one and even bought new modules even though the lights were still there. Do you have any idea what it could be? Thank you!

To turn off the POST beep, you will probably need to go into System Setup (BIOS) and enable the silent boot feature. Enter System Setup (BIOS). If you have an Inspiron™ Custom laptop, press the key to highlight the Quiet Startup option. NOTE. Instead, the Quiet Boot feature may exist in your system’s BIOS.

Now only hard drive error conditions do not generate beep rules, beep pattern 1-3-2 (1 beep, then 3 beeps, then multiple beeps). This beep alerts your entire family that the computer has encountered a memory problem. The new beep codes only cause symptoms of a memory error.
