Sometimes your system may throw an error with the Battlespire-vbe. There can be several reasons for this error.

Hello!
My name is Fabio from Italy, I have a very serious problem: if I run Spire.Bat in a running Win 98 Dosbox, the casino game does not work: CANNOT BE INSTALLEDDETECT or VBE 2.0
Can you help me?
Do you have the Dosbox you are looking for? Because I think they have problems with modern Dosbox and some with games
I have Windows 98 SE, DOS version is 7.0, in my opinion I play a lot of old challenges, but Battlespire is very difficult. Geforce my new 2 may not be VESA

Try to use the main video driver you are using (often through the installer), otherwise it is not usually used. Try both. This should fix your problem, including making sure the Battlespire disc is next to the disc you installed off-concept.

Ok I tried this:
Arena:
I did everything according to the instructions, it works, but with fabulously low fps
Daggerfall:
Did everything on the way to the guide. There are no specific errors in regular DOSBox, to be honest, the screen is just black and almost nothing happens. CVS reports which Microsoft C ++ runtime library usually fails because CVS strangely asked it to close.
Battlespire:
I did everything according to the instructions. It works with good FPS, important in the menu, but also in the game, but once in the game the game crashes after a few seconds, and after that it gives a shitty message that I’m looking for 0 or something.
Redguard:
I did everything according to the instructions and every time I start, the screen is definitely just black and nothing works, almost everything.
Seriously, what is this? Why doesn’t anything actually work even though I follow the instructions from the beginning when you’re done?
So, I was thinking about building a crappy old DOS computer to make these games actually work (at least Arena and therefore Daggerfall). Can anyone recommend any standards for me? some Or you tell meSo what’s wrong with my attempts to run games on XP?
