Usually, you start your computer because of its primary hard drive, which is your operating system (like Windows). But sometimes you may need to download a cross From a CD, DVD, USB stick or drive – for example, when starting a running program, curing or testing a new operating system such as Linux.

To do this, you need to tell the BIOS of your computer that the operating system should boot from a different location than usual. You can do this in two ways: by swapping the boot order in the BIOS or UEFI firmware (it will try to boot from CD or USB each time) or by going to the boot menu at boot (so this can only be done once from the CD) … or USB download). Show in this guide that we offer customers both methods. The first one will be permanent until you update it again, but it should be on every computer. The latter method may be faster, but may not be present on all computers. Process

Although “Delete” and “F2” are probably the most common strategies, your computer may need another one, such as F1, Esc, or Ctrl + Alt + Esc. If you do not see the key you want on the screen, consult your computer’s help or google the name of your computer’s toy and “BIOS key”. (If you have created your own internet, please refer to your motherboard manual.)
