- I have a new [Retail] MS XP PRO installation disc
- This will be a stable Seagate Cheetah SCSI drive
- The drive (and my other drives) may be present in the BIOS
- I usually set BIOS to force boot from optical disc (CD drive) because XP was kind of pita

At the moment on the market, I managed to getbe a clone of Acronis/Seagate/etc. to begin. I had CD Disk Utility.

Does everyone try to recover data from every drive? run this XP CD on other computers? If so, if you can’t load other CDs, your optical drive may be defective.

3. Turn on the specific computer. Set the drive you want to boot from. Proceed as if you were planning to install XP. DO NOT SELECT Recovery Options Console.
