Troubleshooting Tips For Handling Database Errors In Asp.net
March 1, 2022Recommended: Fortect
In some cases, you may see an error code on your computer that says that asp.net is handling database errors. There can be several reasons for this error.
Newer kernel variants are available in other branches, such as kernel version 3.10. 0-1062 (for RHEL7.7) and 4.18. 0-80 (for RHEL8).
If possible, use the Yum package manager or PackageKit to reinstall each kernel, as they always install the newly found kernel rather than replacing the current one, potentially preventing your system from booting.
Custom kernels are not supported by Red Hat. However, instructions can be found in each solution article.
5.1. Overview Core Packages
- Kernel – contains the kernel for single-core, multi-core, and multi-processor systems.
- kernel-debug – contains a kernel with many debug options enabled for kernel diagnostics to reduce performance costs.
- kernel-devel – contains kernel headers and hence makefiles to build enough modules for an actual kernel package.
- kernel-debug-devel – contains a draft version of the kernel with unique debugging options enabled to detect the kernel at the expense of performance simplification.
kernel-doc – end-to-end source documentation files for the kernel. The various parts of the Linux kernel and the corresponding device drivers are documented in several files. Installing this package is one of the options that can be passed to Linux kernel modules at boot time.
By default, these are files placed in each of our
/usr/share/doc/kernel-doc-kernel_version/
directories.- Kernel Headers – Contains C header files that define the Linux kernel and user interface space-aware for your library and local. programs. Header files classify structures and constants that need to be created for most standard programs.
- Linux firmware – contains all the electronic firmware files needed to run various devices.
- perf This package creates the perf tool that allows you to monitor the display of the Linux kernel.
- kernel-abi-whitelists Contains information about the Red Hat Enterprise Linux kernel ABI, including a list of kernel symbols required by external Linux kernel modules and a yum plugin to help you apply it.
- Kernel Tools – Includes tools for managing the Linux kernel and including documentation.
5.2. Get Ready To Upgrade
- Install Syslinux Gear if it is not connected to your system. To do this, run the
yum Arrange syslinux
command as root. Install the SYSLINUX bootloader from a USB stick:
#syslinux /dev/sdX1
… where sdX could be the device name.
Create mount functions for
boot.iso
and USB stick /mnt/isoboot:#mkdir /mnt/diskboot
Mount
boot.iso
:Step 1: Check the current kernel version. In a terminal window, type: uname -sr.Step 2: Update the repositories. In a terminal, type: sudo apt-get update.Step 3: Launch promotion. In a terminal, type: sudo apt-get dist-upgrade.
# mount -o trap boot.iso /mnt/isoboot
Install USB cabinet:
# mount /dev/sdX1 /mnt/diskboot
Copy the ISOLINUX files to the USB device using
boot.iso
:# cp storage /mnt/isoboot/isolinux/* /mnt/diskboot
Use the
isolinux.cfg
archive fromboot.iso
as thesyslinux.cfg
path for the USB device:# grep -v hometown /mnt/isoboot/isolinux/isolinux.cfg > /mnt/diskboot/syslinux.cfg
Unmount
boot.iso
and USB stick:#umount /mnt/isoboot /mnt/diskboot
- Reboot this computer to bootable media and make sure you can boot from it before continuing.
5.3. Download The Updated Kernel
- Security bugs. Visit the Customer Portal for more information on security bugs, including kernel updates that fix privacy issues.
- Red Hat Content Delivery Network. For a system subscribed to the Red Hat Content Delivery Network, the Yum package manager can download the latest kernel and update the kernel on the system. The Dracut utility creates an initial image of the RAM file system as needed, manages the bootloader, and migrates the new kernel. AddFor more information about installing packages from the Red Hat Content Delivery Network, see the appropriate section in the System Administrator’s Guide. For more information about registering your system with the Red Hat Content Delivery Network, see the helpful section of the System Administrator’s Guide.
5.4. Performing An Update
It is highly recommended to keep the old kernel in case there are problems with the new kernel.
5.5. Checking The Original System Image Of The RAM Folder
Also find as root
the contents of the list in the directory /boot
and hence the kernel (vmlinuz-kernel_version
) initramfs-kernel_version
with the last (last) plan number:
Example 5.1. Make sure kernel and only initramfs have /boot versionsmatches config-3
#ls.10.0-67.el7.x86_64config-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64EFIswitch offgrub2initramfs-0-rescue-07f43f20a54c4ce8ada8b70d33fd001c.imginitramfs-3.10.0-67.el7.x86_64.imginitramfs-3.10.0-67.el7.x86_64kdump.imginitramfs-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64.imginitramfs-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64kdump.imginitrd-plymouth.imgSimvers-3.10.0-67.el7.x86_64.gzSimvers-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64.gzSystem.map-3.10.0-67.el7.x86_64System.map-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64vmlinuz-0-rescue-07f43f20a54c4ce8ada8b70d33fd001cvmlinuz-3.10.0-67.el7.x86_64vmlinuz-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64
Example 5.1, “Make sure these kernel and initramfs versions match” Routines that:
- we have included three Plus kernels (or correctly, there are three computer kernel files in the
/boot
directory), - the existing kernel is
vmlinuz-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64
, and but there is also a
initramfs
registry corresponding to our kernel version,initramfs-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64kdump.img
.To update each kernel, use: # yum update kernel. This command updates the specific kernel and all dependencies to the latest version available.Reboot your system for the changes to take effect.
In the
/boot
directory, your company may find severalinitramfs-kernel_versionkdump.img
files. These are special files created by the Kdump type for kernel debugging mechanisms that are not used to boot any part of the system and can be dumped safely. For more information onkdump
, see the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Kernel Crash Dump Guide.
If your initramfs-kernel_version
probably doesn’t match the version of the latest kernel released in the /boot
directory, you will most likely need it in other situations to create initramfs
using the Dracut utility. Simply calling dracut
as root
without parameters will result in the list initramfs
will exist in /boot
for most generated kernels. exist in this directory:
#dracut
You should try the -f
, --force
variant if one wants dracut
to be the main overwrite of initramfs
> (for example, if some initramfs
files have been corrupted). Otherwise, dracut
prevents overwriting the existing initramfs
file:
#dracut Does not override existing initramfs files (/boot/initramfs-3.10.0-78.el7.x86_64.img) --force

Without this, you will most likely create an initramfs in an existing directory by calling
Yum package manager core updates. However, CentOS does not list the latest kernel version in the person's official repository. To update the kernel on CentOS, you need to mount a third party repository called ElRepo.
