Subject: Failed To Load XKB Layout [RESOLVED]
I haven’t installed most of the xnumlock program, but the problem still exists.
And although I have been using this system almost every day for the past few days, the problem has not gone away.
xprop -root | grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP (STRING) = "xorg", "us", "pc105", "", ""
_XKB_RULES_NAMES (STRING) = "xorg", "us", "pc105", "", ""
Also, when I use setxkbmap in the virtual console, the receipt is accepted, the Gnome applet evaluates the change, but I still cannot use special characters.
I am using version 2 of Gnome gnome-desktop.22.3-1.
Got ideas for help?
Everything will be more than appreciated.

I can give a lot of advice on how to find this problem. I have tried many known solutions but I am still missing something.
I can imagine udev working and marking some input events namely / dev, mouse and keyboard. Both uinput core web design evdev is loaded. The file permissions for / tmp and / var / tmp are set to 1777 as suggested. I reinstalled Xserver completely since your Le / usr / x11 prefix was simple. I ran the config file with and without X. The “xkeyboard-config” convention just sets some of them in the documentation … share / X11 / xkb /. I’ve tried swapping some Gentoo with users. And yes, I have a lot of room to expand.
I don’t understand why the X server can also do a good job of finding the video driver and display images easily, but as far as the keyboard is concerned. This is without the xorg.conf track in / etc / X11. I tried to completely remove this folder. One thing I wanted to investigate is the Acpid socket that X opens. I don’t know why it’s here now.
I tried to manually load your evdev driver into X, but afterwards it just didn’t output any results to your logs.
For being here, the udev group tag for my keyboard is worth it.
