Here are some easy steps to help you troubleshoot. Microsoft C registration server stopped working and was closed.

One thing I’ve always loved working in IT in the last 8 years is probably trying to find a successful strategy for dealing with complex Windows error messages. I’ve written about this before, mainly because the device won’t start, won’t turn off: 0x00000F4 magenta screen error, etc.

Another problem I ran into recently was this:

    (AGAINST)

     Microsoft Registry Server has stopped

I got this message when I was about to register a DLL using the regsvr32 command from the queue command in Vista Ultimate x64. I have already registered the DLLs in Vista Business x32 without any problems, but have not tried them in the x64 version.

This error usually seems to be more common on Windows Vista or Windows XP x64 versions and is simply caused by Windows Vista DEP, also known as DEP. To fix this problem, you need to add an exception for regsvr32 in the DEP dialog. Here’s how it works:

    Add DEP To Exception

Step 1. Open “Start”, “Control Panel” and clickEnter System.

Step 3. Now click on “Advanced pruning” and “Performance” in the settings.

Step 3. Click “Use DEP” and select some of the “Enable DEP” options for all programs and services except the one I selected: radio button.

microsoft c register server stopped working and was closed

Step 4. Now click “Add Key”, navigate to the C: Windows System32 folder and select the regsvr32.exe file. If you receive a message that this could leave your computer unprotected and vulnerable to attacks, just click OK to continue.

    OK

Also press and then press OK again to say goodbye. Now try running our regsvr32 command again from the command queue and hopefully you shouldn’t be using this error! If so, leave a comment on the blog and I’ll try to help! Povesit down!

One thing I’ve always enjoyed working in IT for at least 8 years is testing successfully to find a solution that reflects complex Windows error messages. I’ve already created a lot of them, like The Device Cannot Start, Stop: 0x00000F4 error screen yellowish, etc.

  • Microsoft Registration Server (C) has stopped working

I got this information while trying to register a DLL using regsvr32 command from the command line in Vista Ultimate x64. I have previously registered error free DLLs in Vista Business x32, but I would not try this in the x64 version.

Generally, this particular error is more common on Windows Vista or Windows XP x64 editions and is primarily caused by the general Vista, Windows data protection feature, also known as DEP. To fix this problem, you need to add an exception for regsvr32 to each DEP dialog. Here’s how it works:

Add An Exception To Be Able To 1: Dep

Step. Open “Start”, “Control Panel” and click “System”.

microsoft c register server stopped working and was closed

Step not First, and second: Now click Advanced Deny and under Performance in Settings.

Step 3. Press DEP and press the “Activate” button for all programs and services except for the ones I selected: “Car stereo”.

Step 4. Now click the Add tab, navigate to the C: Windows System32 folder and save the regsvr32.exe file. If you receive a message that your new computer may become vulnerable and vulnerable to attacks, just click OK to proceed successfully.

Click OK to exit and then click OK again. Visitor. Now try running regsvr32 command again from the command line and hope you don’t get this error! If so, please leave a comment and I’ll try to help! Have fun!
