The merge replication metadata is periodically flushed by the merge agent, with retention tuning focused on its own message. This happens with the publisher and subscriber MSmerge_genhistory , MSmerge_contents , MSmerge_tombstone , MSmerge_past_partition_mappings and MSmerge_current_partition_mappings Game table system. You can also programmatically purge the data in these tables by selecting replication stored procedures.
To Manually Clean Up This Merge Metadata
Run sp_mergemetadataretentioncleanup on the publishing database publisher.
(Optional) Usually note the number of rows in part 1 MSmerge_contents , msmerge_genhistory , i.e. MSmerge_tombstone System tables were dropped, returned or used in the capacity parameters
@num_genhistory_rows
,@num_contents_rows
and@num_tombstone_rows
.Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the subscriber to clear the subscription database metadata.

I’m aboutfound out that since I am using anonymous subscribers, the main post inherits almost all changes and does not create a post for its changes. Each line added by the subscriber is a line with artnick equal to 0. So when the subscriber submits changes, the subscriber only receives one line and brings valid instructions for the newsletter, but the line does not indicate no change at a time. Instead, choices add changes as if you thought they were coming from there.
The issue with clearing metadata was not related to null values, it could have been orphaned subscriptions. If one of my portable devices creates the sequential sequence anonymously and does not necessarily sync, the cleanup does not span multiple generations. It was added to sp2 in sql2012, and the cleanup is a list of excluded assemblies, which are exactly the “active” list, and the metadata is not cleaned up. I need to try to remove these subscriptions while testing the environment and now I can see that the cleanup is working on It’s okay. I can also understand that this is also possible when the subscription actually expires. A month can be created, but the terminal database is not saved, the subscription is orphaned, and is never synchronized.
In addition, our partners store and / or receive information on the device, such as cookies, and process personal data, many of which are unique identifiers and standard concepts that are sent by the device. a for personalized advertisements and content, measuring advertisements and information, and understanding the audience, in fact, to develop and improve items.
Is it possible to clear msmerg_genhistory on a publisher other than non-subscribers?
Msmerg_genhistory new to editor and not working? We have many viewers who combine their data to replicate their data on any central server (PUBLISHER). Termstorage of 14 days is definitely acceptable for us. Therefore, keep the content of Fusion, Tombstone and Gene History
diagrams with elements older than 14 days. But since we have the last group of replicated servers at the hub site, it will degrade or degrade replication if we instead get exact content records, tombstones, and 14-day table drops. History of genes with EDITOR.
All we are interested in are merge tables for subscribers getting information in 14 days. Deleting author records will result in the records being replicated incorrectly versus error or something else if they are not in the merge tables of the publisher, but in their subscriber tables. Also, how has this previously affected the replicated records?
By default, these tables are flushed every time they run at a Subscriber, after all synced subscribers have registered or the bogus subscribers have eventually expired.
You should NOT remove the following publisher metadata for
subscribers unless you are sure allthe syncs for the person have been completed. If you do this, the
merge replication process will most likely not know which rows were changed or inserted by referencing their msmerge_contents table, and which rows were deleted by referring to their dining tombstone table. Removing
rows from the gen_history cube leaves the duplicate merge process unaware of what the game has been applied, what has been integrated, and what has not been applied. It’s okay if some of the lines from the previous models were synchronized, but lately there is a good chance that the metadata will remain irrecoverable and should never be flushed.
I’m curious as to why you feel the need to clean by hand while customers don’t want to shorten the shelf life?
