FIX: New Malware.ck

It’s worth trying these troubleshooting methods whenever a new Malware.ck error appears on your computer.

The CD provided by the requested vendor currently contains files in the fscommand folder, which are detected as New Malware.ck when scanned next to VirusScan mcafee v8.0i. The CD offers the material in the form of a new Macromedia Flash presentation. VirusScan v8.5 simply doesn’t detect malware during scanning.
The files were initially recognized as “new Malware.j” by v8.0i, and I sent an example to WebImmune indicating that this file “may contain a potential virus or heuristically identified Trojan threat.” Then I opened Case Technical Support at McAfee. The matter has escalated, and it seems to me that this is a reliable detection. Then I was given some kind of EXTRA.DAT file which is both v8.0i and v8.5 to identify the files as “Generic (ED)” Delphi. I went to the CD vendor and put together a new CD that showed the same phenomenon. Of course, “New Malware.ck” from v8.0i is recognized and not recognized from v8.5. I also scanned two AVG CDs on another computer and AVG did not mark most of the files as Trojans or malware. All fthe files on both CDs found by New Malware.ck receive the same checksum, md5, and therefore have similar content.
