If you’ve already programmed Objective c on Windows on your PC, this guide should help you fix the problem. To run an Objective-C program on Windows, we need to install – MinGW and GNUStep Core. Both are available at https://www.gnu.org/software/gnustep/windows/installer.html. First I need to install the MSYS / MinGW system package. Next, we need to use the base GNUstep package.

I understand that this is a very unwanted contribution, but I found a huge pA solution that has only recently become much more accessible AND almost mostly supports Objective-C 2.0 functionality on my platform – Windows Form.

With the release of gcc 4.6, the Objective-C compiler will add support for Objective-C 2.0 features (blocks, dot syntax, synthesized properties, etc.) (see the release notes for more information). Their runtime has also been updated over the years to work much like Apple, using its own Objective-C 2.0 runtime. In short, this means that every (almost) program legally compiled by Clang on a Mac will compile with gcc 4.6, unless you have made some changes.

By the way, one feature that was not available was dictionary / array / etc. literals, although they are all hard-coded in Clang to use the NSDictionary, NSArray, etc. classes from Apple. If

However, you are very happy to live without Apple’s huge frameworks. As discussed in detail, GNUStep and Cocotron provide modified versions of Apple’s class libraries that you can write to whatever you buy (moh favorite option).

MinGW is a way to get GCC 4.6 on this Windows platform that can be downloaded from the MinGW website. Make sure to install it as you install C, C ++, Objective-C and Objective-C ++. Although not required, I also suggest installing the MSYS environment.

gcc MyFile.m -lobjc -std = c99 -fobjc-Exceptions -fconstant-string-class = clsname (etc, bottom flags, see documentation)

MinGW also includes compiling native Windows GUI courses with the -mwindows flag on behalf of the support team. For example:

I haven’t tried it yet, but I believe that if you wrap our Objective-C classes in Objective-C ++ at the highest possible level, you can use the local Windows GUI C ++ Objective-C, and all is neatly intertwined with one Windows application.

Target – C Covers Windows And Linux

Any legacy C system is compiled with the Objective-C compiler. Some valid C programs cannot be compiled with the C ++ compiler.

Actually best suited for Mac OS Objective-C platform development. But Objective-C programs can also compile very well. and switch to Windows or Linux by getting GNUstep and an Objective-C compiler. GNUstep is usually object oriented A library because it provides To the programmer, there are many Objective-C structured libraries and utilities. Applications. GNUstep is mostly compatible with the latest MacOS APIs (Cocoa).

Objective-C IDEs will definitely not be available on Windows or Linux. Code blocks can be used if additional options are set and the Objective-C compiler is also used. Sample program can still be compiled with a compiled text application like SciTE. Or it can be obtained from command line. Or scripts can be written using Python, Batch, Bash, or other scripting languages. Compilation options for platforms are actually included in the following descriptions.

  • Objective-C on Windows requires the GNUstep packages and therefore the MinGW compiler. Installing MinGW will most likely be optional this also applies to GNUstep. If MinGW is configured separately, make sure you have some kind of Objective-C compiler. turn on Collapse. Installing GNUstep packages is done on most Programmierziel C In Windows
