Over the past few days, some users have informed us that they are receiving error messages from the Radius server. g.Specifically, this error is caused by one of the following conditions: The username or password is probably incorrect. For example, the designated user does not exist, or the member name format (with or without each of our domain names) is different from the format configured on the RADIUS server (Remote Authentication Using Telephone User Service).

The RADIUS server MUST use the username and IP address attributes in the frame for all authentication and accounting messages. The RADIUS agent uses the values of these parameters to interpret and store name / IP address pairs. If your remote RADIUS computer does not generate this information by default, configure it to do so. See Compliance with your RADIUS server documentation for.
The recommended way to resolve the failed login issue is to check the settings here on the security provider’s configuration page. The next section will help you understand the messages you may receive.
If there is no problem verifying the username and password from a specific site of the security provider, but the user cannot login to BeyondTrust with the same credentials, make sure at least one of the following conditions is met.
- The user has explicitly overridden an existing Group Policy.
- A default data collection policy has been set regarding how the security provider was configured to use the server on which the dieter is authenticated.
- The user is a member of a group that specifically practiced the art of adding to existing group insurance, and user authentication and group search are configured and linked.
- The username and password you are testing are far from the same.
- Enter your login details again or try an important username and password.
- Your DNS information may be incorrect. You can check if people are allowed all your DNS servers using these dedicated tools on the Support> Utilities page in BeyondTrust on your device’s user interface.
- You really should be using the correct shared secret, including RADIUS and your B-Series device.
- If a user who can pass Basic Authentication can connect, make sure that different users of that user are limited to RADIUS hosting.
- If users are using an IAS server for which the user is authenticating, Remote Open Authorization must be enabled.
- PAP authentication must be enabled. This is the only RADIUS mode currently supported by BeyondTrust. Modify the new IAS policy to ensure that this policy is supported as a means of authenticating through a B-Series device.
- Wrong choice. 6ca – standard response characterA for a B-Series device, indicating that it is not being heard by the DNS server. This can happen when trying to log into the sales representative’s console.
- If people have very bad connections or an error occurs, 6ca checks if DNS is configured on your interface / device.
When configuring a search resolution method, it is also important to configure first user authentication, then the hunt group, and finally the group membership policy. When troubleshooting, buyers want to work in reverse order.
- Make sure Group Policy is looking for valid # 1 data for a specific hosting company and that you have virtually no @@@ symbols in the Policy Members field.
- If a group provider is configured, make sure its connection parameters are valid and the group hunt base DN is balanced.
- If your organization wants to use group search, make sure your security provider is configured to search underlist for authenticated user groups.
- For the test user provider, set the default policy and see if your users can log in.

The best way to detect this is to literally try to log in with a strong username / password and then the wrong username / password. If the current password worksIf the wrong password says “Radius Server Not Responding” instead of “Invalid User or Password”, then this enhancement should remove this obstacle.
Check some security certificationsCheck authentication protocol support.Check the NAS configuration.Check client configuration.Check the main database.Check the authorization attributes.Use test clients.Track and view customer logs.
RADIUS servers still exist, although dial = up is not used as often as it used to be. There is also a way to let them offload authentication from the device, which you can use as an access portal.
