How Do You Deal With Backup Extraction Errors?

Over the past few days, some of our users have reported to us that they encountered an error when extracting their backups.

    Launch Tool

    To remove infected files, operate the tool. It automatically scans all available drives and attempts to repair damaged files. If a virus is detected, you will be prompted to restart your computer, and the infected file will need to be repaired at startup.

    First, apply the new good app and device control policy to get w32,sality. Go to Symantec.com and search for: w32.sality.ae. Could you find some app and device control policy? Download it and then import it into your SEPM.

    Second, turn off the autoplay feature. Ensure that SEP is installed on all computers on your network and that the latest virus definitions are available.

    It could be a strange computer or laptop that doesn’t have SEP installed, which could be causing the real problem. Use the Find Unmanaged Computer feature in SEP. Install SEP on all computers.

    If it’s really possible, turn off sharing. If this is not possible, the username and password protect the shares.
