DLNA Protocol Error (2101) For PS3
When looking at DLNA shared builds on PS3, I keep seeing this error in the message box:
1- Make sure TFTP pings without question 2- Try using TFTPD32, the TFTP software application 3- Check if there is a firewall issue here or just a TFTP application on the computer 4- Make sure your TFTP server is enabled in. 5- Check file format if HTH
This error is triggered whenever my personal PS3 is about to display a list of the best content in a solid folder, especially photo folders.
The model then pauses or stops before displaying thumbnails.
Because the PS3 only loads images that are visible on the projection screen, scrolling through the folder will display a new message every time the PS3 loads new thumbnails.
Has anyone or anyone else encountered this problem and been able to fix it?

Yes, DLNA errors and a few other network errors did occur from time to time. But from latest PS3 firmware and latest official QNAP firmware for (TS-109) it shows much more errors (eg DLNA 2106…). I also noticed a loss of connection to the network website with the current PS3/QNAP-fw configuration. This has never happened before.

I have the same problem after updating both PS3 versions and the latest firmware ts-109 helps. Right now I can’t guarantee that you are streaming videos almost every 3 4 or seconds without interruption and sometimes even the network drops when copying video files (600/700 mega) from ts-109 can ps3. Before I can help and copy files on the fly. PLEASE, PLEASE, ANDY AND IVAN, help us!!!

Yes, at that time there was still DLNA and various network errors from time to time. But with the latest PS3 firmware and the popular official QNAP firmware for (TS-109), to be honest, it gives a lot more errors (like DLNA 2106…). I also noticed a lot of network drops with the fw PS3/QNAP configuration already installed. This has probably never happened before.

@Doozer: I wasn’t actually chosen, but I would say so. QNAP is aiming to get the latest built version of Twonky, this should increase the chances of finding these bugs – if it’s up to Twonky alone, I don’t think QNAP can do more…

After I recently ditched my wireless ADSL router (F5D9630UK4) from Belkin, I purchased a Netgear Flat(DG834PN). PS3 was connected wirelessly. With Belkin I had great UPnP on PS3, with Netgear even though it’s enabled on both ends, ps3 reports that UPnP is completely unavailable. (Also with IP Playstation 3 as DMZ). These announcements are accompanied by DLNA bugs and a particularly poor PS3 ability to stay connected.
Make sure the TFTP server has an IP address that the router can forward to. For example, if your network uses an absolute NAT firewall and the router is indeed on the other side of your current NAT firewall, the TFTP server IP address must be the external IP address. Make sure you can ping the router from a workstation running a TFTP server.
I solved this problem by moving the NAS and router and connecting to my PS3 and PC wirelessly. No more DLNA errors. (Persistent PS3 reports not available via UPNP). These errors now occur when I turn on my computer and access at least the wireless media server.
I could get Powerline boxes to carry ethernet over the power grid and get things back where they go.
So this looks like a PS3 UPnP issue with wireless routers with links
