I created DVCPRO HD Quicktime files created in FCP by my visitor (using Black Magic). Is there a pause for them to open in Windows? Only import AE or convert Premiere to another HD 3rd party application? I found out somewhere that Apple’s Quicktime DVCPRO HD codec is only available for Mac. It’s true? Has there been such an incompatibility lately?

I had an amazing problem. FCP transparently uses the DVCPro HD codec and is a great alternative to ProRes (because I use FCP 5.1 and don’t use ProRes). DVCProHD will not work on a PC unless the device has very poor video codec capabilities, which most end users don’t have and don’t want to spend money on. p>

I recommend using Compressor or Mpeg Streamclip and a conversion that supports h.264, MPEG4 or HDV, sohow most players can try HDV.
