Troubleshooting Steps For An Electric Dryer

In this guide, we are going to uncover some of the possible causes that can cause problems with the electric dryer, and then we will offer some possible solutions that you can try to solve this problem.

Typically, an 800 status almost certainly indicates that a new large disk available for backup has not been found, the requested disk has the wrong density, or the single storage device has been disabled. This error is usually not related to system resources such as hard drives, memory, or resources managed by the EMM server.

However, there can be multiple reasons for the 800 (resource request failed) status in NetBackup(tm). This error indicates that NetBackup Execution Policy Manager was unable to allow you (nbpem) to obtain the required resources from all Enterprise Media Manager (EMM) processes. Typically, status 800 indicates that the backup disk cannot be selected, or that the requested disk is of the wrong thickness, or that the storage device is corrupted. This error usually does not point to system resources such as disk or memory, but to large resources managed by the EMM server.
Troubleshooting

Make sure thatthe disks defined in the required storage are in the “UP” state. Having drives “DOWN” can cause the backup to fail with status 800.

After surviving this backup situation, I found that nothing worked for about a month, and now most attempts end up with a 500 “Resource Request Failed” status. Displayed status:

I searched for this seemingly common problem, but nothing helped. I deleted and re-added these readers and all bots perfectly recognize and re-add without any problems, but it helped.
this was created as a backup with the namegerm.OLDDOMAIN.COM. However, the legacy domain is gone and the web server is now backups.NEWDOMAIN.com. When I run tpconfig -emm_dev_list I still see “Backup all copies of still.OLDDOMAIN.COM” listed in the “Scan host” section. Could this cause a bigger problem if it means changing as our own hostname than Netbackup considers it a scan host?
