[SOLVED] Buffer I/O Error On Dev Dm-0
Hello, this is one of my first time using Arch Linux and then my first forum post. A few days ago I was running Arch Linux in a virtual machine with VMware Fusion 7.1.1 for Mac. I seem to have upgraded my system with pacman -Syu and just after the upgrade was completed I got the error “Buffer I/O error on dev dm-0, practice block 1056800, webpage scaled word asynchronous write lost” as shown on this image. Left: Kernel Bug From what I’ve evaluated, other people who have had this problem have come across this old error on other Linux distributions, so I’m pretty sure this problem is kernel related. I don’t know why I am getting an error about successful devices when emulating the main system. I get this error every time I try to edit, and every time it does, I can’t fully enter the command to figure out exactly why it’s happening, making the options system unusable and forcing me to reboot. After a reboot,It doesn’t work fine (however my system doesn’t update on reboot and that’s a bug too since I can’t install plan update). I don’t use RAID (some web content says that RAID solved this problem). Ideas?
