  • Hello everyone
Now I know. There is a real thread on this blog on this subject, but mine is a bit confusing and I’ve been trying to fix it directly for days now.

I am using Aol 9.6, Windows 7 OS and Lenovo g550 laptop,

the problem was like this. Whenever I try to successfully open the AOL software, I get a BSOD (Bad_pool_Header). So I went down some paths I saw online and changed the location of the currently conflicting .sys files to the ACS i private directory. Then ATWPKT2.SYS worked fine until I restarted the computer.

Now the Aol software opens fine when I go to my profile. I will get BSOD (Bad_pool_Header) again. So it’s all confusing. I tried chkdsk, checked with antivirus, ran automatic scans and even changed the location of many files I suspected… all the same

I will be happy if I get an answer on

  • I want to thank you for your help, so some distance from this problem I’m dealing with. I want to tell you that the thread in general was really priceless, and now the computer works in good quality without any problems.

    what i put :
I renamed ATWPKT2.SYS over the network to the ATWPKT2.OLD folder and everything was fine because… some time ago I just renamed ATWPKT2.SYS in the AOL folder

Step 2 conflicting system files appear when building with the aol software. I think it was loaded with updates; ATWPKT2 file pages are .SYS and you already have atwpkt264.sys in C:Program FilesCommon FilesAOLacs and c:windowssystem32drivers, just replace the extension files with . sys .old or change the currentYour location. You have 4 files, this stops the Aol connection service, not to mention that sometimes your computer should be fine..

  • I solved my personal blue screen (AOL) by uninstalling Adobe Flash Player. Then “Adobe is loading Flash Player 11 Active X”.

I won against an older client who insists on using aol software for checking email and general web surfing. She has a new HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 7 Home, a great 64-bit version. I have Avast to create an antivirus.

It was AOL with Desktop 9.6 and it worked fine for about 30 years. Then, out of the blue, he got a BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD every time he tried to start AOL.

I cutthis is specifically by the AOL software, while situations where it is not installed work fine. As soon as I install and manage the software, we get a blue screen. I also got the new version of AOL 10. and the only one. A

    I just installed (upgraded AOL from 9.1 to 9.6 and got a BSOD with the wrong title for this pool – Stop X 4 00000019, 0x00000020, 0x8b89c160, 0x8b89c178, 0x0a030002.)

I had a similar problem a long time ago, I was trying to upgrade to 9.5 and found this message board, there is a file with the same name in both AOL and Windows XP. Recently I was looking for my notes, apparently I threw them away… Can anyone help?

    Thanks Wayne

I would contact AOL support specifically.
If there was a problem they would check Windows XP in addition to updating AOL to see the procedure to follow. method problem.

  • Invalid pool header BSOD

Over the lastWithin 2 months I got 19-12 minidumps of the Bad Pool Header error. How can I also post a minidump here to determine what my problem is?

I updated my drivers and they didn’t go away and ran CCleaner… a “fix” suggested somewhere on the web.

    We’ve made some progress.

This violation was related to the Athrx expandable.sys in-vehicle wireless device from Atheros Communications, Inc. Prior to publication, the price and 7 are yours. I would replace it with the latest available option.
