Are You Having Problems With Bttv Kernel Panic?
January 3, 2022In the past few days, some readers have come across a bttv kernel panic error message. There are a number of factors causing this problem. Let’s discuss it now.

I tried to install a new 2.6.12-rc2-mm3 kernel with bttv backup and after restarting my computer I bought something like this:
bttv0: PLL 28636363 => 35469950 .. ok
NULL kernel pointer could not be processed …
If I build your bttv media as a module and check bttv modprobe, the system is very high, then there will be no boot problems.
And the smallest ones:
Of course, the nvidia-kernel module does not work correctly with only two kernels .6.12-
rc2-mm3. I can change it even though when I usually start X servers
it tells me that it literally can’t load the kernel segment (even if it’s already loaded)

Of course, the nvidia-kernel module does not properly support the 2.6.12-
rc2-mm3 kernel. I can change it, but when I try to start the X server
it shows me that you cannot load the kernel module (even if it is already loaded)
NVidia driver 7167 and therefore 7174 works fine with 2.6.12-rc2-mm3, at least for some people. If it stops working it is NVidia problem and not
lkml problem. If you need help, stop the list, let alone what I can try, or go to NVidia’s page which has all of our drivers and subscribe to them from the Forums link, this is a * very * and good source of help … and patches.

Now I know there were changes in the v4l2 tab, but I haven’t seen anyone complain that the previous people didn’t work. Anyone suggest this feature? I have recompiled the appropriate kernel and modules and reinstalled people without success. Ideas?
Also, perhaps as a compliment, the new alsa drivers work fine, but apparently install modules correctly, unfortunately modprobe cannot find modules which … boring …
Edit: Oh, and this is a fatal error for me 1) modprobe doesn’t work properly after this process, so I can’t load in X. The only solution is to disallow modules from being used on my system.
Edit this: maybe it should appear I’m in the kernel part of the forum when I think I’m not sure if the amd64 in question is related or not.
