Sometimes, your computer may generate an error stating that a Mac IP duplicate error has occurred. There can be many reasons for this problem. If you mistakenly assign the same static address to two devices, you may encounter a duplicate IP error. However, this issue can also occur if you have configured the device to use a static IP address without reserving the address in the router. If both devices try to act as routers, they may find duplicate IP addresses.

  • Depending on how your primary IP address is provided, there are usually several ways to resolve a conflict.

If you are on your home network and there are no suggestions for how to fix the problem, make sure that you disconnect from the network and all installed devices (for example, a modem). Wait a few minutes, then turn the devices back on. See the Reboot an External Device section.

    Thank you for your opinion.

    Question:

Very often I get duplicate IP address error in system.log. I have included this below. This happens on multiple Mac computers in the office. The address that can be included in the message is the location of the computer itself. It doesn’t matter if the network is DHCP or manual. Of course, you still get the same message with different IP addresses. On a lot more machines, I can ping 10.1.3.1 for Mac specific and correct answers. Use it to disable network according to 10.1.3.1 and call ping command and it will answer “no”. The network system never shuts down, which can certainly happen if you have really duplicate IP addresses on your network.
The button in the software opposite is a Cisco 6509 with VLANs on it. Vlans are separated and do not interact with each other. Network breathing apparatus for class A.
Everything I want to work with says on the net: “You are suffering from another computer with the same IP”, but I KNOW that this is so, but it is not.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

I get a recurring IP chat error message in the system.log quite often. I have included this below. This is done on multiple Macs in the office. The address in this special message is the address of the software itself. Doesn’t matter in the case of a DHCP configured network and for guidance. You always get the same mail, of course with different IP addresses. From another computer, I can improve ping.1.3.1 and the Mac responds. Disconnect the “network” from 10.1.3.1 and ping and respond, too. The network is in no way limited to what happens when you actually have duplicate IP addresses on the network.
The switch we need to connect is the specific Cisco 6509 switch with the VLAN that has the problem. Are-Vlans diverge and simply do not interact. Netmask as a net belongs to class A.
Everything I’ve searched on any network says, “You have another desktop computer with the same IP,” but I KNOW this is not a specific case. Does anyone have an idea?

Having a static IP email address set for a network device can create duplicate IP address conflicts on a great DHCP network. See Details. To solve this problem, convert a networked cell phone with a static market IP address to a DHCP client. Or, you have the option to exclude a static IP from the DHCP scope on the DHCP server.

Click the Apple menu.Click System Preferences.Click Network.Select Ethernet on the appropriate left pane.In the program window, select the “Configure IPv4” drop-down menu and select “Manual”.Enter a static IP address in the IP address field.Enter p dnetwork in the Subnet mask field.

Each device must have a unique n unique IP address on the local network of the cell tower, and if you manually configured the network settings of your own equipment to use your specific number, you may receive the message “Another device is using its own”. IP address “warning because the DHCP / NAT combination assigned the control you specified.
