Troubleshooting Shell Script Debugging In Korn Shell The Easy Way

This document may help you troubleshoot IIS-related SSL issues. Troubleshooting client certificates is not covered in this white paper. Server certificates are used to authenticate the server, and in this document we will deal only with servers.

If “Client Certificates” is set to “Required” and you’re not having problems, please review this document. This is only intended to troubleshoot SSL server credential issues.

It is important to understand that each certificateAT consists of a public key (used for encryption) and a unique private key (used for decryption) for. The private key is probably known to the server.

I’m assuming the reader is familiar with the SSL handshake and server authentication in the SSL handshake process.

When searching for a website on the first https, you receive the following error message:

Now let’s say a website is available in the market via http and we all get the above errors when we try to render https. The problem occurs because the SSL handshake failed, but the corresponding error message was heard. There can be many reasons. Let’s take a step-by-step approach to solving this problem.

Script 1

Security cookies are used by our internet browsers and computers to ensure the security of a particular website. A wildly incorrect date and time setting on your computer can easily cause certificates to display incorrectly and your web browser to start giving you security warnings.

Make sure our server certificate has the appropriate private factor. see image nbelow:

If the private key is not present, at this point you need to obtain a credential containing a key, the private which is literally a .pfx file. There was a command we could run to combine the private key with part of the certificate:

C:>certutil –repairstore my "Ž1a 1f ninety nine 8b 21 a2 99 36 seventy seven a8 8e b2 3f 49 8c 7e 47 e3 d1 33"

If this mapping is successful, you will see the following window:

Click the Advanced tab and scroll down until you find the entire Security section. In the drop-down list, find “Certificate Space Conflict Warning” and uncheck the box next to it. When done, click “Apply” and “OK” to confirm the change. Certificates

Note: The command does not always work. If this fails, you must obtain a certificate containing the private key from a certificate authority. The file extension for the private full key is a .pfx certificate.

Script 2

We have overcome the laneFinally, we now have an official server document containing the private installed key for the website. However, we still get the same error as above. The website is still not accessible via Https.

For IIS and 7 IIS 7. Use the SSL 5 diagnostic tool, vijaysk. Link below:

Install the tool and then run it on the server. If you have your private key certificate but still cannot access the website, you should probably run this tool or check your system event logs for warnings/errors related to SChannel.

When you run the SSLdiag tool, you may receive the following error message:

You have a private key that matches this certificate, but CryptAcquireCertificatePrivateKey fails

There will also be a SChannel warning in the system event logs, as shown below:
