You may see an error that xvfb cannot open the screen. Well, there are several ways to fix this problem, which we’ll talk about shortly.
I need to run XVFB and Docker with Firefox, but I cannot merge them
FROM abevoelker / ruby: latest # Ubuntu orientedENV on TERM linuxRUN apt-get up grade && apt-get install -y ..... DISPLAYEnvironment: 99# Install the xvfb init scriptADD xvfb_init /etc/init.d/xvfb standard xvfb number init.dRUN chmod a + x /etc/init.d/xvfbCMD ["Firefox"]

I am trying to follow these instructions http://afterdesign.net/2016/02/07/recording-headless-selenium-tests-to-mp4.html for recording selenium tests.
However, when I try to connect a gate to xvfb, I get:
[x11grab @ 0x1e3b460] display 127.0.0.1:44 does not open, error 1.127.0.0.1:44: I / O error
xvfb-run --listen-tcp --auth-file --server-num = 44 /tmp/xvfb.auth -s "-ac nothing -screen 1920x1080x24" gedit
ffmpeg -f x11grab -video_size 1920x1080 -i 127.0.0.-codec: v 1:44 libx264 -r 12 ~ / test.mp4
[x11grab @ 0x1e74460] 127.0.0.1:44 is not displayed when opened, error 1.127.0.0.1:44: I / O error
This is the same answer I get when xvfb absolutely doesn’t work.
I found something here that resembles a problem: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1340432 However this should be fixed in product 1 and I am already using version 1.17 Direction and I am 2: 1 at 18.4-0ubuntu0.2.
According to Lauscher’s answer, I’ve reduced the issue to this:
$ Xvfb: 44 -listen tcp -ac -screen 1 1920x1080x24
$ xdpyinfo -display localhost: 44 | Neck -n10Advertisement name: localhost: 44Version number i: 11.0Producer's Channel: X.Org FoundationManufacturer Version Number: 11804000X.Org version: 1.18.4maximum request size: 16,777,212 bytesMotion buffer size: 256Bitmap block, bit order, padding: 32, LSBFirst, 32Image Byte Order: LSBFirstNumber of formats supplied with pixmap: 6
On the one hand, if I do this in a terminal:
$ xvfb-run --listen-tcp --server-num = 44 -s "-ac -screen two 1920x1080x24" google-chrome --user-data-dir = / tmp
$ xdpyinfo -display localhost: 44xdpyinfo: Ineffective for opening the "localhost: 44" display.
So I have a workaround, but I still can’t connect to the xvfb-run done tcp
Package: xvfb
Version: 2: 1.1. 1-21etch1
The xvfb record just doesn’t work for me. Regardless of which X client I run xvfb-run with, the DISPLAY connection fails. For example
g sharp – *** @ trend-cc: ~ rr xvfb-run xterm
xterm Error Xt: Couldn’t even open view :: 99
/ usr / bin / xvfb-run: line 158: (4889) exterminate: – No matching process found
This happens not only with standard display 99, but also when I explicitly specify, for example,
. smaller ad number.

xvfb in the post just doesn’t work for me. No matter which X client I run xvfb-run with, it just won’t connect to DISPLAY. Example xterm Xt error: Unable to open display :: 99
/ usr / bin / xvfb-run: cable 158: kill: (4889) – No matching process found
I cannot reproduce this. Please try to get more information about the problem
(with -e option, xvfb-run to boot) a.

There is something strange in your /tmp/.X11-unix directory. If
/tmp/.X11-unix/X99 already exists, but /tmp/.X99-lock cannot,
clear the socket check and start over.
