Here are some easy ways to fix the DirectX 10 vs 11 Battlefield 3 issue.
I’ve also thought about switching to an accurate renderer, but I don’t think this is really possible in beta.
BC2 had a smart choice where currently you can select the renderer in settings.ini, hopefully the full version of BF3 will be there too. I have a 460GTX and I’m running at 40-50 frames per second, but I’m sure I can get 10 more frames with DX 10. This was the fastest BC2, and in terms of appearance it was no different. I don’t think they are tessellated in beta, so there is no point in using DX11 if the game has a bigger drop in efficiency than DX10.

I know there is a RenderDevice.DirectX11Enable method command and I set it to 0, but it looks like if you quit smoking and then start over again it will backfire on you. So has anyone found a way to let you get DirectX 10? Google does not knowstrong results, although there have been many articles related to BF3 and DirectX 10, so I guess it can be configured to work below 10. Light, sweet freedom |

Most of what I’ve tried has done little, although I get a generous 4-5 fps boost by changing WorldRender.DXDeferredCSPathEnable, which can be 0, a few fps, by changing RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit to 1. I can only get about 30 frames per secondy at a constant speed to cut to 20, and sometimes teenagers too. I know there is only one console command, RenderDevice.DirectX11Enable, and I replaced it with 0, but it seems to turn on again, and if you stop, start over. A

This is impossible. Why would you do 10 out of 11 as well as others? The game runs faster than 10 in DX11

DX11 is mostly from the game. DX11 has some DX10 compatibility, so you can’t deactivate DX11 in the same way that it really is a DX11 game.

FYI, the primary link has one of the caps that seems to disable DX11, that is, the group is renderdevice.dx11enable, so it looks pretty well defined. After playing with it in all positions, I really don’t see the difference, although I didn’t look properly. Maybe I could be the flag.
